Crafted by Bobby Mills, these small bowls are rough cut from thick boards of English Pippy Oak. The wood is mounted onto a lathe where the main body and shape of the bowl is created. Every bowl has a unique shape, no longer perfectly round.

Bobby Mills is a designer and craftsman developing a deep connection with wood from trees of the British landscape. His studio is based in Devon, UK. 

Working at this small scale a delicate hand and sharp tool is required. Any cracks are natural and present in the wood prior to this process. The charring of the bowls is done in layers with a blow torch. Bobby burns the bowls in certain areas and then lets them cool before he continues.
